How can we help transform the world? How does faith both shape and inform us to connect with others notwithstanding our differences? How may we learn ways in which to address the social challenges of our time? We know from experience that the answers to these questions are not easy. Still, such questions have long been important to us.
When criticized for crossing traditional boundaries, John Wesley, a founder of Methodism, said, “The world is my parish.” Everywhere that Jesus of Nazareth went he had compassion for people, and then went about teaching, healing and proclaiming God’s love.
