As a large metropolitan church located at a diverse intersection in urban Indianapolis, we strive to be a place where a broad variety of spiritual journeys meet. We are searching for a minister of youth (30 hours/week and benefits with the possibility of full time) who has dreams and vision for growing and developing an already dynamic program.

Responsibilities include oversight, supervision, and planning for all aspects of youth ministry, such as Sunday School, United Methodist Youth Fellowship, retreats, special events, and mission trips. Candidates should have previous experience in a large-church setting and respond well to diverse opinions, activities, and feedback. They should work well with a team, delegate effectively, multi-task easily, and encourage the service of adult volunteers. They should be grounded in their own Christian practices and theology, but at the same time, open to different viewpoints. They should model Christian service in their own life. They should have an understanding of United Methodist tradition but welcome young people from other denominations or unchurched backgrounds.

Candidates should have a desire to share the love of Christ with young people and enable them to live out their faith in the world.
