Dolores says her duties as Financial Secretary include "anything to do with numbers or money, payroll, contributions, accounts payable, general ledger entries and assisting Jim Martin," who is Church Business Administrator.

She came to North Church in late October, 2004, after seeing a newspaper advertisement for a bookkeeper who knew Shelby software. Although she was employed part time at Northminster Presbyterian Church, where she is a member, she thought she could help out at North until a permanent bookkeeper was hired.

But she says her real relationship with North began many years ago when her daughter was a member, then moved to Chicago but returned in 1991 to be married in North Church.

Dolores says she hopes "to serve the members of this great church in the most effective and accurate manner possible, to be available to assist the members and staff members to the best of my ability.”

She and her husband, Carl, have one daughter, Tracy, who is married to Felipe Martinez.

Dolores says her interests include gardening and art. She has enrolled in Purdue University’s Master Gardening Class, and she has taught watercolor painting.
